Character is King - not the Medium
Kickback Media’s philosophy is to focus on the notion of ‘character’ rather than
on one particular medium. With an ever consolidating media market the time has arrived for applying new strategies and models for developing children’s and teenage, character based Intellectual Property.


The current model for media companies of attempting to build franchises exclusively via film or television carries a significant cost and an equally significant failure rate. While the beginning point of any brand is always the character(s), the desired finishing point is actually retail. Film and television are now simply means of delivering characters to the high street. The successful media companies of the future will be those that can create content for a variety of mediums, thereby offering a broader range of delivery mechanisms for their brands.
